By using elastane in the back jacquard bar and combining this with smart drafting techniques, different 3D design effects can be created on the surface. This additional dimension not only influences the appearance but also adds function. The 3D design reduces the textile’s contact to the surface of the skin and thus positively influences the fit. Small air cushions are formed in the textile structure, meaning that the fabric does not stick to the skin when sweating. In winter, the areas of the fabric with air pockets retain body heat, which is a particularly interesting for winter clothing such as ski underwear.
