Users without special training and/or incomplete training in warp knitting (machine operators, staff from the sections machine maintenance, sales, agency, managers, junior staff for warp knitting)

Training requirements

Readiness for team work, good powers of comprehension as well as open-mindedness within a cross-cultural work group.

  1. Machines
    • General machine information on the basis of the Karl Mayer machinery program
    • Technical features of tricot machines and raschel machines
    • Machine construction and their function
    • Chain links and pattern discs
    • Introduction the basic function of KAMCOS® system
  2. Study of warp knitted fabric constructions
    • Description possibilities of warp knitted structure
    • Basic stitch constructions in warp knitting
    • Analysis of simple basic stitch constructions
    • Preparation of chain notations 
  3. Textile calculations
    • Dealing with different yarn count systems
    • Calculation of the fabric density
    • Calculation of yarn run-in values
  4. Practical works on training machines
    • Working with pattern chains and pattern discs
    • Setting of chain links according to pattern book samples
    • Design new patterns and realize on the machine
    • Change-over from pattern drum to pattern disc
    • Machine operation and trouble shooting (fault finding)
