Fibre-spreading Lines

Our machines for producing dry, unidirectional fibre tapes having low weights from continuous filament yarns.

KARL MAYER can supply a machine technologies for producing unidirectional fibre tapes for use in lightweight construction applications. Our fibre spreading lines UD 500 and UD 700 can be used to produce fibre tapes from continuous filament yarns, such as carbon, glass and aramid. The tapes can be produced in widths of up 800 mm. Modular machine technology enables additional bonding agents to be incorporated, such as adhesive grids, powders and films.

Benefits

  • High quality of unidirectional tapes
  • High flexibility
  • Modular machine concept
  • Customised configuration
  • Integration of various spreading principles
