Clipped lace patterns for an embroidered character

This lace from the MJ 59/1 B was conceived as a clip pattern. The pattern threads are removed outside the pattern area to create isolated pattern elements that appear as though they were embroidered. Very delicate base structures can be chosen thanks to this principle, further increasing the contrast to the pattern. The product is completed by eyelashes at the patterned edge.
