A USER-CENTRIC OPERATING CONCEPT
The KARL MAYER COmmand System was introduced in 2003, to structure the control concepts of all machines in the KARL MAYER Group. Since then, KARL MAYER has introduced KAMCOS® 2 – a modern and intuitive machine user-interface. For an easy and familiar handling, the automation platform offers a modern machine interface, with operating functions that are known worldwide from the use of smartphones or tablets.

Two decades of pioneering work in knitting machine control
All control components, i.e. the computers for yarn feed, pattern control, and yarn breakage monitoring, were centralized. A special communication protocol was developed for their exchange with the main control system via a uniform bus system.
Our control platform has evolved over the years. It has become clear that traceability, comprehensibility, and user-friendliness remain important.
In 2016, our user interface design received the DESIGN AWARD from iF International Forum Design GmbH in the “Communication – Apps/Software” category.
